The Eagles RAW Recap
Yes folks you read it right... The Eagle’s RAW Recap is back and better than ever. Let’s get things started.
Our opening moments of RAW were interesting to say the least. But we have been here before. Another McMahon feud. It is always interesting when the McMahons fight each other. I wonder what they have in store for us this time.
Rey Mysterio/Shawn Michaels VS John Morrison/The Miz
Not a bad match. All four of these superstars can go. No doubt about that. I would like to see Miz and Morrison back in the title contention soon. I have a feeling that the deal JBL and HBK made has something to do with a match at the next PPV. I guess we will see.
It was nice to see Mr. Kennedy back. He looks great and ready to go. I just hope he can stay clean and injury free.
Kane VS Kofi Kingston
Not the way I expected this mach to end. Now I have no problem with Kane getting a shot at Cena but why? He gets DQed and then gets a match with the Worlds Champ. Now does that make sense? On a good note… I like the tournament for the IC Title. This should bring some interesting matches.
Chris Jericho VS Batista VS Randy Orton
I am glad to see Orton in this. He deserves to be in the title contention. He has grown a lot in the last 6 months or so. A pretty good match with these 3. A lot of back and forth in this match. And in typical heel fashion Jericho pulls off the win.
Ya know Santino had a point tonight… he should have been included in the IC Title Tournament.
GolIdDust VS Santino Marella
I was very surprised to find out that Dustin Rhodes signed a deal with WWE. I guess he ran out of options. Santino is better than that and should have put up a bigger fight.
CM Punk VS Snitsky
Why is Snitsky even in the IC Title Tournament? Who has he beaten? No one is the answer. Typical match here. Snitsky over powers Punk and then he comes back to win it. Not a match that I was impressed with.
Beth Phoenix/Katie Lea/ Jillian Hall VS Candice Michelle/Mickie James/Melina
It was good to see Melina back in action. A pretty decent match for a Diva match. Melina looked good in her first match back.
Chris Jericho came to the ring to welcome John Cena. He ran his mouth as usual.( as a good heel does). Did you notice that most of the people standing around Cena were kids? Cena did his typical promo. There was a different side of Cena tonight when he wiped the floor with Jericho.
Over all….. not a bad RAW. Not the greatest but certainly not the worst either. There could have been more matches and less promos.
I’m The Eagle and I’m flying out of here!!!!!!
The New Sensation: Raw Recap
Finally, the new sensation has come back to the Eagle’s Ring. Hello everyone, I’m yours truly the Sensational1. And, I’ve arrived on the scene to bring you a little RAW sensation. What a Raw we had this week! Lots to talk about, and lots to report.
We kick things off in a big way with a PPV quality match Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk in a steel cage match with the gold on the line. Punk, the man who had the title snatched away in a scramble match he wasn’t even involved in, was hell bent on regaining his belt last night. He erupted with a flurry of rights and lefts, kicks and high knees. A foiled GTS gave Jericho an opening, but Punk drove the champion into the steel to stop his offense. The veteran champion trapped Punk in the walls of Jericho, Punk showed all his grit and fire however, as he crawled not to the ropes, but to the open door. Jericho put the breaks on that plan by slamming the steel door on Punks injured head. The match went back & forth with both men using the cage as a weapon. In the end however, the champion yet again fell into a win, literally, as punk inadvertently head butted The superstar formally called Y2J out of the cage. This was an exciting quick pace match. WWE needs to put on more of these type of contests. Speaking of big contests WWE enounced a huge Smackdown main event that will kick off the blue brand’s move to my network. A triple threat match involving the champs from all 3 brands, can’t wait for that one.
Let’s get back to tonight though, Mike Adamle is telling Jericho to celebrate now, because he’ll need to focus on defending his title at No Mercy. Chris complains about everything he’s gone through in the past 8 days, and tells Adamle he needs to take care of his champions, because they’re his most valuable assets. The two head to Adamle’s office so Jericho can give him a little advice on how to manage No Mercy.
Else where, Kane is wearing his old mask then takes it off. Saying he was never forced to remove his mask, he did it because he wanted to gain acceptance. Acceptance, that he feels he never got. He called Mysterio a coward, that hides behind a mask just like we all do. Evan Born interrupted Kane saying that Mysterio is courageous, and is the reason he made it in the WWE.
Now, we turn to some diva action. Because WWE was in Memphis Tennessee, Jillian decides to sing a little “Hound Dog” for everyone, even after the break she was still going. Candice’s theme hits, and the grateful crowd cheers. Beth Phoenix takes a ringside seat to watch the number 1 contender take on Jillian. Surprisingly, Jillian keeps Candice on the defense, unfortunately she can’t keep quiet while doing so. Jillian goes for a handspring elbow, that gets blocked and turned into a Candy wrapper. Candice then invites the women’s champion into the ring, Beth climbs the apron only to be dropkicked off by Michelle.
JBL was out to prove a point, when he took on Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer put up a valiant fight, but one stiff close line from hell, finished the ECW original. After the match JBL brought a chair into the ring, luckily it wasn’t for Dreamer. JBL sat down and refused to move until Adamle named him #1 contender. Instead of Adamle, JBL got Randy Orton, much to the crowd’s delight. Randy said, JBL wouldn’t be much of an improvement from Punk, and added that once he makes his return the age of Orton will resume. Glamerella shows up, much to the puzzlement of both JBL and Orton. Santino heckles Randy saying unlike him they’re champions, and unlike him and his Daddy they’re healthy. Santino goes on to say his Papa was always healthy except for the herpes, “but he handled them very well.” He then demands Randy “pologize” Randy starts to refuse, when JBL demands Orton apologize not to “Mr. and Mr. Phoenix, but to him.” He then threatens to re-injure Randy’s shoulder. The Animal comes down, and says he’s sick of talking and listening, he’s going to kick all of their asses, regain the gold, keep kicking ass until Randy returns, and proceed to kick the legend killers ass too. Adamle finally appears on the titan-tron. Saying, he will take everything into consideration, and make his decision at the end of the night. Batista decided to make his case by going after JBL, but Santino decides to get involved and the Italian superstar gets dropped. The Glamazon defends her man and slaps Batista not once but twice, and continues to badger him until he takes her down as well. Let me just say the Sensational1 does not approve of men hitting women, even if the woman is a heal.
The tag champs, and Manu were in action against Kofi, the king, and good ‘ol Jim Hause. The miss matched trio almost got the victory, but as the saying goes almost doesn’t count. After a leg sweep by DeBiose on Charlie Hause the match was over.
Now, we have arrived at the final match of the evening Mysterio vs. Kane. Mysterio fights with everything he has, but the big red monster is just too much, the referee had no choice but to stop the match. That however, didn’t stop the attack, Evan Born came to the aid of his friend and together they flattened the big red machine. What an exciting duo these two make, we saw them last week in a tag match and this week they worked together again. The Sensational1 hopes they’ll keep working together in the future, and maybe even go after the belts.
Y2J walks out accompanied by his lackey Cade, and tells us what he suggested to the GM. Batista vs. JBL for the #1 contender spot, then Jericho would face the winner that same night. Adamle liked the idea of Batista vs. JBL, but Jericho would put his title on the line against a different opponent at No Mercy. He then walks out leaving us in suspense, in the tense moments that followed an HBK chant starts up. Low and behold HBK’s music hits and the show stopper tells us, they’ll meet in a match some people say he revolutionized. The Sensational1 knew right then this was going to be a match I didn’t want to miss. Shawn climbs a ladder sits atop it and tells Jericho he’ll be taking the title at No Mercy in a ladder match!
